Their portfolio of products has continually evolved since then and, as well as soft fruit, they can now boast expertise in fruits across many different categories, including tropical & exotic fruit, stone fruit, top fruit and citrus. Main: The main duties of the Warehouse Operative is to coach and support the stock operative team, ensuring that fruit is unloaded from incoming lorries and allocated into appropriate chillers and that it is picked and transferred for outbound loads. Ensure that incoming fruit is checked against the packing list, managing and escalating any discrepancies as required and communicating regularly with the Intake Quality Control team to ensure fruit is correctly transferred, stored and delivered. Duties: Leading by example to effectively motivate your team, ensuring Stock Team targets are achieved while displaying our company behaviours and values. Help to Coach a team of stock operatives, providing training and guidance, allocating duties to make sure stock operatives have a varied day and actively promoting company values and behaviours. Responsibility for ensuring staff within your team operate at all times in accordance with Health and Safety regulations and in adherence to any relevant health, safety and environmental policies and procedures, ensuring safe use of facilities and equipment and providing a safe working environment for staff and visitors. Duties include loading and unloading lorries, transferring fruit pallets into appropriate chillers, conducting checks to make sure the stock matches the intake control sheet, escalating any issues to the Supervisor as appropriate. Conduct daily stock count in chillers and facilities using the Electric Scanning Machines, ensuring Stock System is updated daily with relevant data. Count the number of boxes arriving, checking the information on arrival against the packing list Produce and apply the pallet label to each pallet of fruit and accurately record the weight of each pallet using the electronic scales system. Use the daily Production Plan to calculate the required amount of Raw Materials needed to meet customer orders, allocating the appropriate fruit to Stock Team detailing the product, quality, location etc., making sure Production receive the required stock on time and in correct quantities and liaising with Production teams if any issues are identified. Complete and sign all delivery notes, updating any traceability labels if required and ensuring that the correct information regarding Seal Numbers, Seal intact or no seal are added to Drivers paperwork before allowing him to depart. Deputise for Stock Controlled Team Leader in their absence. Adhere to company values and behaviours at all times Who we are looking for: Hold a current Forklift Truck license and PPT License or experience Experience in warehouse is desirable What we provide in return: Career progression: Day shift Warehouse Operatives start at level 1 (£10.80 p/h) climbing through to level 2 (£11.50 p/h) and level 3 (£11.80 p/h) according to a specific training plan. After level 3 Warehouse Operatives can apply to Team Leader with 3 levels to climb. New facilities: We have a brand new site in Northfleet which we are currently moving into.
