My client is an established plant company in the rail sector. Due to ongoing work; they have a requirement for a Materials and Stock Controller to work with their organisation. The hours are 7am 5pm Monday to Friday for this role; with time and a half paid over 39 hours. The ideal candidate will have a background in Construction plant; and hold a forklift license in addition to the following: Creating Export Documentation Shipping for the EU and World Wide Supply Chain and Trend analysis updates Purchasing parts, materials and machine components required for construction plant & Rail upgrades, repairs/service Shipments via Sea, Air and Land Arrange Ad hoc Transport requests Check and GRN Delivery of goods Customer Service Administration Continually monitor the trends in their supply environment and within their firms Responsibilities Raise Job Numbers for goods, machines and equipment and parts required by managers and fitters. Prepare and process requisitions Raise Purchase orders for Goods required Maintain digital and paper records of goods ordered and received. Previous experience working with Outlook mail, Excel spreadsheets and word applications are essential to the role. Procure all necessary materials within the workshops needed for effective production and operation within the company and the best prices and quality, ensuring all parts for workshop usage are followed up until received. Complete orders on specific suppliers site portals Manage order delivery timescales, chase parts deliveries overdue. Arrange emptying of General waste and Mud skips Source Quotations and provide the most cost effective and suitable materials (must be from approved suppliers RISQS Network rail approved for critical rail supplies Oversee vendors that supply the company with the items it requires to operate properly. Locate vendors of materials, equipment or supplies, and source competitive quotes to meet Company requirements. Inspect and review product availability and terms of sales Arrange calibration of tools Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment Manage purchasing department documentation and electronic files Review and Analyse suppliers to ensure compliance is achieved by completing monthly trends analysis report Analyse delivery systems in order to assess present and future material availability and suitability
